Paul has been a professional actor in NY since graduating college. After years of waiting tables and working in hotels, he decided to try to find a job to complement his continued artistic career. He decided to make a move towards fitness and got his Mad Dogg Athletics Certification in spring of 2010. He strives to make his classes as engaging and varied as possible and will play music ranging from the classic rock of the 70's to the latest pop hits. Paul believes that people who have fun while working out eventually come to view working out as fun, and tries to make his class as fun as he can!
LIC resident, Mary Duncan has been working in the fitness industry since 1993. Since moving to New York in 2000 she has worked with a variety of populations from marathon runners and high performance athletes to those just beginning to explore fitness.
She truly enjoys helping people and loves to see her students and clients work hard, improve their fitness levels and live a healthier lifestyle. She has held certifications from Fitour, DePauw University, AFSA, the American Heart Association, and IDEA.
As a grad student at NYU pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy, Carly strives to help others achieve their health & wellness goals on a daily basis. After taking years of fitness classes herself, Carly decided to join the fun and become a part of the fitness industry. Certified through NSCA as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist, she also holds certifications in beginner Mat Pilates and Spin through Mad Dogg Athletics! Nicole has been an avid athlete for most of her life starting at the age of 6. She played volleyball, basketball and baseball. From age 6 all the way up to high school Nicole has played boys baseball. After 12 years of making that accomplishment Nicole still uses that same approach by helping others set goals and to help motivate people to do what they want as long as they believe in it and with hard work they can accomplish anything. Nicole has been teaching Spin since 2010, she got her certification through Madd Dog and is hoping to become a certified personal trainer by the end of 2013.
Originally from Washington, D.C. Helene attended The University of Maryland for Theatre and Dance and has been teaching fitness in NYC for the past three years. Helene has experience as a Personal Trainer with Equinox Fitness and is certified in cycling through Schwinn Fitness. Helene currently teaches Indoor Cycling, Boot Camp and Zumba classes. Elise graduated with her Exercise Science degree from High Point University in NC and moved to NY to pursue her love for health coaching. Growing up in a very athletic family, a passion for fitness & health comes second nature. Elise's favorite sports are lacrosse, soccer, biking and running. Certified in Personal Training and Spinning, with a very special "Spinning Circuit" class, she would love to help you achieve your goals!
Jen has been teaching group fitness classes since 2005. She began instructing classes as a way to relieve stress during law school. Jen is certified to teach Spin and Group Fitness through The Aerobic and Fitness Association of America. An avid runner, Jen is incredibly proud to have completed the ING 2011 NYC Marathon.
Michelle is certified in Group Fitness through AFAA with experience in teaching Total Body Conditioning and Boot Camp classes. She brands herself through the creation of unique and inventive workouts – ensuring that each class is different from the next! A running enthusiast, Michelle plans to travel around the country to complete a half marathon in every state!
